The manager of Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson, has said that the contract of Danny Welbeck will be extended for the next 5 years. His weekly salary is going to be 75,000 pounds. A few days ago, Welbeck had said that he would not sign a new contract with United until he gets a big hike in his salary. Earlier, the club was not ready to accept the salary demand of Welbeck. So, there had been rumors that Welbeck might leave the club. But, Ferguson ended all these rumors by saying that the club has accepted the demand of Welbeck eventually. In the last season, the weekly salary of Welbeck was 16,000 pounds.

Welbeck had joined United in 2005 when he was only 15 years old. He played his first match for the youth team of Manchester United against Sunderland in 2006. In the 2006-07 season, he played 28 matches for the youth team and scored 9 goals. In the next season, he was included in the first team of the club. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that the talks with the striker Danny Welbeck has been ongoing in recent weeks and that he is hopeful that the youth team product will sign a new deal with the club. The 21-year-old has become one of the surprise packages of last season for Manchester United after he managed to keep out the likes of Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov out of the starting line-up. He also scored almost 20 goals in his first season with Manchester United. Due to the fact that he has only two years left on his current contract, United are ready to offer him a new deal.

However, it is understood that both parties are way off before they can come to terms of the new deal. This is due to the fact that Danny Welbeck is demanding around £ 60,000 per week, while Manchester United are ready to offer him only half of the amount. Danny Welbeck’s stock has risen in recent weeks after he managed to successfully lead England to victories in the first two group matches of the Euro 2012. He led the line up in the absence of his Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney, who was suspended.

“We are negotiating with Danny’s brothers. They represent him. It’s difficult to say where we are with that at this moment in time. We’ve fostered him. He’s always had growth spurts and things like that, so we fostered him right that period when he was developing. I don’t think he’s got his full body yet. I think there’s a lot of growth in him yet. I don’t think he’ll get taller, he’s 6ft 3ins now,” said Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson regarding the future of Danny Welbeck. The youngster came through the academy at United.

Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck has revealed that Arsenal winger Theo Walcott is largely responsible for the magnificent 3-2 win over Sweden in the second group game of the Euro 2012 for England. England were coming into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw with France, who had earlier won their second group game against Ukraine 2-0. As a result, it put tremendous pressure on England to deliver a win against Sweden. It was going to be extremely difficult given that Sweden have been unbeaten against England in the last seven matches.

It proved to be a difficult match as many expected after England were looking at the possibility of a 2-1 defeat after the hour mark. However, a goal from Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott helped England win the match 3-2. As a result, there are the favourites to qualify from the group stage ahead of Ukraine. Danny Welbeck said after the match that he is extremely delighted at the influence Theo Walcott had in the match. The Arsenal winger came as a substitute in the match when they were trailing, and was responsible for the turnaround after he scored one and set up the other for Danny Welbeck.

‘We’re all very pleased for Theo. We know when he gets on the pitch he’s going to make a difference. That’s what he’s done today. I’m delighted to get the winning goal but it was more of a team performance. At the start of the second half we let in two sloppy goals and that’s something we want to put behind us. But our team spirit showed and we’re delighted to get three points,’ said goal scoring hero Danny Welbeck after the match. Liverpool striker Andy Carroll scored the opening goal for England in the first half.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he is extremely pleased with the development shown by England striker Danny Welbeck this season. Danny Welbeck spent the last season on loan at Sunderland. It is a loan spell that has worked in favour of the player after he has been a sensation at Manchester United this season so much so that he has been able to keep out striker Hernandez out of the starting line-up. Hernandez scored 20 goals in his debut season for Manchester United, but has been unable to get game time at United this season due to the form of Welbeck.

Speaking ahead of the most important game of their season, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said that he is certainly surprised, but happy about the development made by Welbeck, whose rise to fame has helped England top the charts of the euro betting markets. Welbeck has been the main reason for Wayne Rooney flourishing as a striker for United this season. Rooney has scored 33 goals for United this season, and owes a lot of them due to the work rate of the United youngster. Apart from helping Rooney score all the major goals for United, Welbeck has also been able to chip in with 12 goals this season.

“With Danny being fit again and playing consistently, he’s developed. I think last week we saw something special. I know there was a lot of reference to the Yorke and Cole thing and I think there are similarities to that. I thought Welbeck’s movement was fantastic last week. He did really well. Attacking-wise we were terrific in the second half. Wayne is 26 now and Danny is 21. I would think over the next few years it can only get better. I hope so,” Sir Alex Ferguson said ahead of the Manchester City game. United go into the fixture with a three-point advantage over their rivals.

Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck has said that he is extremely relieved to end the goal drought, which has been a major problem for him in the last 10 games. Danny Welbeck has not scored for the last 10 games, which has really been a major dent for his confidence. However, he scored his first goal after a long time in the 5-0 thrashing of Wolverhampton Wanderers recently. Manchester United came into the match against Wolves knowing that they could maintain their lead at the top of the table over Manchester City with a win. They did exactly that against a very poor Wolves team.

The sacking of manager Mick McCarthy was expected to provide some confidence to the team, but it has worked in the opposite way for Wolves. They are now struggling down near the bottom of the table, and even worse is fact that the team is struggling to plug a leaky defence. Danny Welbeck last scored for Manchester United in the match against Arsenal almost 8 weeks ago. It looks like a distant memory now. Even though Danny Welbeck said after the match that he was extremely relieved to score and bring an end to his goal drought, winning the game was far more important.

“Before the game, I actually thought I do need a goal. Thankfully, Sir Alex Ferguson kept picking me and it came today. But you can’t let these things play on your mind, you just play your normal game and, as long as the team keeps winning, that’s the main thing,” Welbeck said after the match. Welbeck was at the receiving end of the Ronald Zubar tackle, which resulted in the red card for the Wolves player. It proved to be the turning point in a match, as Manchester United ran riot after the red card.

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has said that Danny Welbeck is simply amazing and that he is starting to accept the competition for his role within the Manchester United team. Javier Hernandez is finding it difficult to break into the first team this season after doing so well last term. One of the main reasons for this is the number of injury problems he has suffered this season. Another reason is also the fantastic form shown by Danny Welbeck, who has been used on a number of occasions by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. In the previous season, Dimitar Berbatov has affected by the form of Javier Hernandez.

Now, Javier Hernandez is being affected by the form of Danny Welbeck. Despite this, the Mexican said that he is extremely amazed at the performances displayed by Danny Welbeck. It is one of the reasons why he is starting to accept the fact that nobody is sure of first-team place at Manchester United due to the huge competition involved. Manchester United will be facing Ajax in the last 32 of the Europa league hoping to progress in the competition. Manchester United are only left in two competitions this season – Premier league and Europa league.

“It has been a little bit frustrating because I have been injured a lot. I am happy and I am still enjoying it. It is a privilege to play for Manchester United, whether things are going good or bad, I want to keep that attitude. Competition is normal at a club like this. You need to be at your best to help the team. That is the most important thing,” the Mexico international said. Despite getting eliminated from the Champions League and FA Cup, Javier Hernandez has said that he is confident of achieving glory this season with Manchester United.

Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck was on the score sheet for Manchester United in their match against Bolton. It helped Manchester United closed the gap to Manchester City to just the goal difference, although Manchester City have the opportunity to once again re-establish their three-point advantage when they take on Wigan athletic on Monday night.

However, closing down the gap was the best Manchester United could do on the evening and it was started off by Paul Scholes, who recently returned from retirement on the request from Sir Alex Ferguson. Manchester United has been suffering a number of injury problems of late, which has meant that youngsters like Danny Welbeck have been getting a number of opportunities.

The England striker did not disappoint in the match against Bolton as well. He was on the score sheet, as his second goal gave Manchester United in the comfortable lead they were demanding. Paul Scholes scored in the injury time of the first half to the Manchester United the lead. Danny Welbeck then doubled Manchester United’s advantage in the second half, although all was not rosy for Manchester United, as Wayne Rooney missed a penalty. Michael Carrick then continued his goal scoring form in recent weeks to put the game beyond any doubt in the 83rd minute.

“With everything he has got going for him, he could be capable of being in the team every week. You have got a kid busting a gut and desperate to impress everyone — the supporters, management and staff and, in this present day and age, that is worth its weight in gold. He has got what a lot of young players have not got in this day and age — he is focused, enthusiastic and wants to do it,” Former United star Lou Macari said in praise of Danny Welbeck.

Welbeck Wants to Sign

Danny Welbeck has handed Man United a massive boost as he signalled his intention to stay at Man Utd, and sign a new five year contract. It is thought that next month the 20 year old England striker will sit down with club officials and discuss a £45,000-a-week deal for five years.

It is thought that United are giving Welbeck the deal to show their gratitude for the incredible form he has been in since he returned to United from a spell away on loan at Sunderland. Welbeck who enjoyed a good last season with Sunderland has 18 months currently left on his contract that currently grabs him £15,000 a week without bonuses. It was revealed in the summer how initial talks were held and they were thought to be trebling his wages whilst extending the young Englishman’s deal for a further five years.

United have been busy trying to tie down their exciting new youngsters with better deals. New deals are thought to be being offered to the likes of Smalling, Cleverley and Hernandez, as well as Welbeck. But finally United aim to lure the striker into a new deal with a final wage of £65,000 should he ultimately trigger appearance and goal targets.

Welbeck is expected to sit out Tuesday’s home Champions League match with Benfica because Alex Ferguson hunts for the win required to top the group and dodge the big name teams in the knockout stages.

Sir Alex Ferguson said: “That is probably the bonus out of it — you hope you do finish top. First of all there are certain teams there and that is one issue but the most important one is that second game is at Old Trafford and that is always an advantage.”

Danny Welbeck

Daniel Nii Tackie Mensah Welbeck, or Danny Welbeck as he is popularly called, is a striker who plays for Premier League side Manchester United. Danny Welbeck can also play as a winger on either sides and is known to exploit space by using this speed and skill. Danny Welbeck has so far represented the likes of Manchester United, Preston North end, and Sunderland. Amongst these, Welbeck regards the Sunderland loan spell as the major influencing part of his career.

He first joined Manchester United as a youth player at the start of the 2005 season, while it did not take long for him to make his first team debut. Ironically, it was against Sunderland in 2006 that he first made his debut for the under 18’s side. He first signed in 2007 a trainee contract only, but his rapid progress enabled him to get a full-time contract shortly afterwards. Only three years after he signed for Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson spoke about him in great length and how he regards Welbeck to be the future of Manchester United.

He also hinted at many first team opportunities for the England under 18 star. The first team debut for Danny Welbeck came in the League Cup match against Middlesbrough at Old Trafford. He made its debut for Manchester United in September 2008. He went on to make many League Cup appearances that season, while also scoring three goals in the process. He also made three appearances in the Premier League and scored his first goal against Stoke City.

Danny Welbeck soon made his Champions League debut as well, which he made against Besiktas in November 2009. The incredible progress that Danny Welbeck made within the last two seasons made United offer him a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2013.

Despite making many appearances, Sir Alex Ferguson soon decided that a loan move for the be the best possible opportunity for Danny Welbeck to get more experience of the game quickly. This led to his first loan spell at Preston North end in the January transfer window of 2010. In the remaining six months of the season, Danny Welbeck made eight appearances for Preston North end and scored two goals in the process. He returned to Manchester United at the end of the season, but was soon loaned out to Sunderland the following season.

The Sunderland loan move, however, brought a significant change to his career. Even though Sunderland manager Steve Bruce did not play him as a striker, Danny Welbeck made incredible progress playing in the wings. He impressed so much during his spell at Sunderland that Steve Bruce conceded that they will be looking at opportunities to sign the England international. However, Manchester United denied any intention of doing so and recalled him at the end of the 2011 season. Danny Welbeck made his international debut for England, despite being eligible for Ghana, in the 1-1 draw against Ghana. He replaced Ashley Young in the second half of the match to play against the side that had courted him.
