WELBECK MAKES BEST PLAYERS’ LIST
Brighton and Hove Albion striker Danny Welbeck has been named on the list of the best players in the Premier League for matchday 9. The list of the best players was compiled by footballer turned pundit Garth Crooks. Garth Crooks was a striker for English clubs like Manchester United, Stoke City, West Brom and Tottenham Hotspur before he called time on his playing career. He turned to punditry after his retirement.
Danny Welbeck made his team of the week list for matchday 9 in the Premier League for his impressive performance for the Seagulls at the weekend. That Solly March strike turned out to be the winning goal as Brighton held on for the three points despite finishing the game with ten men due to the red card issued to impressive right-back Tariq Lamptey for two yellow cards.
The result marked a first win in seven games for Brighton. Their last win was the 3-0 away win over Newcastle United on matchday 2.
