WELBECK SUBBED ON DURING UNITED DEFEAT
England striker Danny Welbeck was a substitute in the second half as his Brighton and Hove Albion side tasted defeat against home team Manchester United in their rescheduled Premier League clash this week.Welbeck could not prevent his team from suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of his former team when they met at the Theatre of Dreams on Tuesday night.

Brighton boss Graham Potter had given Danny Welbeck a rare start in league at the weekend when goals from French striker Neal Maupay and English defender Adam Webster scored to give the Seagulls a 2-0 away win over relegation battlers Watford. Welbeck was back to the bench for the trip to face the Red Devils with Belgian international Leandro Trossard replacing him in the Brighton attack alongside the aforementioned Maupay.
